STARK MATTHEWS may have been operating for less than 12 months, but the beauty and lifestyle public relations agency is cementing itself as a formidable force by acquiring Maxted Thomas PR.
The acquisition will see STARK MATTHEWS strengthen its position in the beauty and lifestyle space as it takes on the clients of Maxted Thomas PR including Remington, Jergens, Trilogy, Fake Bake, Revitanail, Goodness, Russell Hobbs and George Foreman.
One of Sydney’s most respected and renowned boutique communications companies, Maxted Thomas PR has been in operation for 23 years. STARK MATTHEWS directors and co-founders Anna Stark and Tahira Matthews were both previously employed at the agency.
Three members of the Maxted Thomas PR team, including managing director Ian Thomas, will join STARK MATTHEWS, effective immediately. More hires are expected before the end of the financial year.
“I couldn’t be happier that my business and brands are going into the hands of a team led by Anna Stark and Tahira Matthews. I’ve worked with them both for many years and know this transition will be seamless,” says Thomas.
Matthews adds: "It’s an incredible honour to be taking over the reins of not only one of Sydney’s leading beauty and lifestyle PR firms but also an agency where Anna and I both worked during our careers.
“The acquisition has allowed us to be in a position we imagined we might be in in two years' time, so it's definitely fast tracked the goals and objectives we set out when the agency was first started. We can't wait to embark on this new challenge and use our combined resources to ignite new energy and ideas across the entire agency portfolio."
