Hair style: "We're creating a strong, sporty, sweaty-looking ponytail, which is a little more graphic and less romantic than Akira's normal styling. We're making the hair look stronger and less romantic by adding wetness. We apply the product through the hair and then use the hairdryer and hands to naturally create texture. There's two sections of the girls in the show, one which is quite sporting in the styling to go with the bold-coloured clothing, and then there's a section of angels that come out that are wearing soft skin-tone clothes with sheer light fabrics that I've given a graphic, modern, aerodynamic chignon. I wanted to keep the texture the same so they both have wet texture to the hair. Key products are Wella Perfect Setting and Wella Hydrate Milk. We're using the Hydrate Milk to create the sweaty look so it leaves the hair soft and hydrated but it doesn't look greasy," says Travis Balcke.

Make-up: Nicole Thompson for M.A.C

Make-up style: "At Akira, we wanted to create something super light reflective and very textural. The collection has a lot going on we wanted to have a visual-gasm of everthing. We've got all different types of sequins of different sizes. We've blocked out the brows with a glue stick, flattened them down, concealed them out to keep the consistency so it looks flat on all the girls, and then we're creating a holographic sequin brow. Around the eyes, we're wrapping Margin Blush and Bone Beige Sculpt Powder to give a bit of definition but so it remains angelic and not look too make-upy. There are two different lip looks. There's a nude look - which is a nude, slightly peachy pressed in lip, and a tomato red lip - using Lady Danger, red lip pencil, and red electric neon pigment pressed over the top so it gets it really matte. We've got one finale look where the model is having a complete pink sequin face," says Nicole Thompson.
