Who: Daniel Avakian

When: 6 pm, April 13. The Theatre, Carriageworks.

Hair: Jon Pulitano for Redken

Hair style: "The colours today are really soft and simple, with a modern 70s reference, so we just wanted to go with something a little more understated. The look is a dishevelled ponytail with a slightly fluffy texture. We've sprayed Redken Rootful on dry hair to create a bit of a gritty texture and blow-dried in Redken Fashion Waves, keeping the hair forward and sexy. It's then tied back about two inches below the hairline, so that from the front it looks almost saggy. With the pieces that have fallen out, we've dishevelled them further with some Redken Powder Grip. The hair is kept very natural, as though the girl has done it herself, and it's then finished off with some Redken Fashion Work 12," says Jon Pulitano.

Make-up: Lara Srokowski for Lancôme

Make-up style: "Effortlessly shic. We've kept the skin healthy and the make-up natural. We've used a mixture of the Lancôme Genifique skin care products with the Teint Miracle to give the skin hydration and make it glow. The eye shape has been accentuated using a matte bronzer, with a dark chocolate to define the socket. We've then used the Lancôme Grandiose mascara to create beautiful, long lashes and finished with a nude, matte lip," says Annabelle Hogg.

Nail style: "The Daniel Avakian collection is mostly neutral colours, so we went with a nail shade that would compliment the range and not clash. The shade The Dessert Rose, is a beautiful bone colour that's not too pink, yellow, or grey. It's just a stunning neutral shade. It's completely opaque and we've used the matte top coat to finish. With most of the girls we've painted onto their natural nails and toes, but there are some tips as well," says Karon McKendrick-Taylor.

Skin prep: "Most of the girls come with make up on from other shows, so what we do is apply some cleanser and water spray, and then remove it all using the Clarisonic. It has a timer that tells you when to move from one section of the face to another, and completely cleans the face in 60 seconds," says Jade Stanley.
