Who: Ellery
When: 6 pm, April 12. The Runway, Carriageworks.
Hair: Michelle Mcquillan for Redken
Hair style: "The models are having their hair very natural. It's their own texture, just enhancing what texture they've got, putting in a centre part with fingers - so it's not structured, no combs, no brushing. Keeping the natural texture and then tying it back into a low ponytail, almost like they've done it themselves. The Ellery clothes are quite structured and strong silhouettes, so to compliment that, we're just making it look quite natural. The ballerinas had tight buns just below the crown. Products used included Pillow Proof, Wind Blown finishing spray and Rootful," says Michelle Mcquillan.
Make-up: Gordon Espinet for
Make-up style: "The make-up concept was about something that was fresh, youthful and pretty with a little bit of a boyish bushy eyebrow, and then we just wanted an element of uniqueness. At first they wanted a white eyeliner, but instead we went with something asymetrical and graphic. It's really soft and it's not about a white, instead it's about a translucent white so that the skin still shows through. We've filled the eyebrows in and used little to no foundation - we used the Timecheck lotion which is a moisturiser and primer and blurs everything out. It's really about the models not looking overly done but adding an element of something," says Gordon Espinet.

Nail look: "What we're doing today with the nails is going for a very feminine look on the girl's hands. We're doing a natural shape - a long oval shape to lengthen their hands. The look is understated, nude, sophisticated and classic, which goes with the whole Ellery collection. We've used OPI's new Soft Shades collection and we used the Put It in Neutral polish," says Melisa Giraldo.
