MECCA Brands’ much-loved customer-led campaign – the MECCA Beauty Election – is back for 2021.
The MECCA Beauty Election reveals the best and most treasured in beauty, as determined by the Australian and New Zealand community, with customers given the opportunity to vote for their favourite makeup, skincare, fragrance and more.
The awards identify exactly what beauty fanatics are coveting right now, with 10 categories and 60 nominees. This year, MECCA is anticipating over 100,000 participants across Australia and New Zealand.
With an all-encompassing list of award categories, the MECCA Beauty Election will cover categories we all know and love including ‘The Illusionists: The Best of Complexion’ and ‘The Amplifiers: The Best Mascara’, as well as new category entrants including ‘The Multihyphenates: The Best Multi-Use Product’ and ‘The Explorers: The Best In-Store Service’ – the latter showcasing MECCA’s renowned services for the first time.
Providing a deep dive into the current beauty landscape, the MECCA Beauty Election highlights the best of the best from the most in-demand brands including NARS, Hourglass, Laura Mercier, Glow Recipe, GOOP, Sunday Riley, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Bumble and Bumble and of course MECCA’s signature line brands, MECCA MAX and Mecca Cosmetica.

Voting opened July 13 and closes on July 25 at 11.59pm AEST, with winners announced on 27 July at 12pm AEST. Plus, all voters will go in the running to win a grand prize including a selection of the most treasured nominees and winners to the value of $2,000.
