With news this week that the oral health category is seeing huge growth, it comes as no surprise that one brand specialising in natural alternatives is currently experiencing booming business.
This year is shaping up to be an outstanding year for Grin Natural, who has won a number of awards for their unique natural toothpastes and eco-friendly oral care essentials.
In June, the New Zealand company was awarded DHL Best Emerging Business (for goods exports) at the 2019 Air New Zealand Cargo ExportNZ Awards, which recognises the businesses with booming overseas sales and innovative offerings.
At the awards, judges commended Grin’s strategy of consumer education and a cost-effective sales channel which has helped them succeed in the large and competitive oral healthcare market. Since launching their biodegradable toothbrushes in March 2017, they have since gone on to sell over 1.4 million of them.
But that is just the tip of the iceberg. Grin also won all three of the awards they were nominated for in the NZ Best in Beauty Awards hosted on beautyheaven this year – Best Natural Body Product, Best Innovation and Best Sustainability Champion.
Adding to their sustainability achievements, Grin is also the first New Zealand brand to partner with ecommerce leader Alibaba and world diving association PADI, to launch an ocean protective initiative.
Grin General Manager Tara Tan had this to say about the new recognition the brand has received: “We believe the awards don’t only belong to Grin, but to all our partners and the collaborative work we’ve done together. It represents the spirit that New Zealand companies are bringing to the world - the way in which we care for the environment, our communities, our passion for innovation and how we join hands together to bring healthier lives to people right around the world.”
Grin has recently launched its eco-friendly alternative to plastic floss, Natural Mint Waxed Dental Floss, along with Adults Biodegradable Dental Floss Picks and Kids Biodegradable Dental Flossers.
