Now in its 19th year, the Pure Beauty Awards 2020 were recently celebrated with an annual awards ceremony held via a virtual Emerald City-themed screening.
The awards, which celebrate the best new beauty launches in the UK market over the last 12 months, raked in more than 1,000 views, despite the extenuating circumstances.
With hundreds of entries to choose from, the judging panel was tasked with narrowing down the shortlist, before leaving it to viewers to cast their votes for the winners.
“2020 has been anything but normal and, while we could not host everyone in person, it was a pleasure to see so many viewers tune into our event and celebrate the best in beauty,” Pure Beauty features editor, Sarah Parsons, said. “In spite of a difficult year, the industry shows no signs of slowing down and the robustness of beauty has shone through these difficult times. This year we, once again, saw top class brands championing innovation – even if it was from the comfort of our own homes.
Every award, from Gold to Highly Commended, was truly well-deserved and it was an honour to celebrate all of your achievements throughout 2020. Once again, a huge congratulations to all our winners, and I look forward to working with you and seeing all your faces again in the near future.”
