While some companies are yet to discover the benefits of social media, British label Burberry is not one of them.
The latest statistics from Famecount found Burberry has gone up 28.96 per cent in its number of Facebook, YouTube and Twitter fans.
This new-found popularity has been linked to the release of several new beauty tutorials on YouTube under creative director Christopher Bailey.
The instructional videos on how to achieve a natural, effortless and sunkissed look can be watched online at http://www.youtube.com/user/Burberry.
The clear and easy steps performed by make up artist Wendy Rowe on British model Cara Delevingne show the company is thinking outside the box when it comes to raising brand awareness.
And it appears to be working: the lifestyle brand has now racked up 9,696,773 followers across all of its social media platforms.
Other features likely to have caused the spike in social media followers is the interactive Art of the Trench section of the website and live streams of its fashion shows.
As technology develops and social networking is increasingly used by companies to help grow their brand, it’s time to follow in Burberry’s footsteps and think about new and innovative ways to grab consumer’s attention.
