It might not have had its own TV show and celebrity mentors like Top Model, but up until the noughties - when it came to discovering the next big thing in the modelling world - you couldn’t go past the Dolly Model Search.
Credited with discovering the likes of Australian modelling greats including Miranda Kerr, Jessica Hart and Kate Fisher, the March issue of Dolly (on sale this week) announces the return of the Model Search after a 10-year hiatus.
We are continually inundated with requests from our readers to bring back the DOLLY Model Search. I’m very much looking forward to finding a fresh new face as well as an inspiring role model for Aussie teens,” says Dolly editor Tiffany Dunk.
The Original Dolly Model Search 2012 brought to you by Invisalign sees the winner become an ongoing ambassador for Dolly for a year, a modelling contract with Chadwick Models, a trip to New York to meet with Chadwick’s US affiliates, plus a fashion and cover shoot with Dolly. Not a bad prize pool for any up-and-coming model.
Six finalists will be chosen from across the country by Dunk, Westfield stylist Donny Galella, Invisalign marketing and communications executive Brooke Radich and Chadwick Models managing director Martin Walsh.
Stand by as thousands of pretty teens stream into a newsagency near you to grab the registration form in Dolly.
