This week the BD team try the new and noteworthy products that have launched this month.
EDITOR'S PICK: MOR Thank You Collection Duo – Georgie
What it is: A beautiful bathing duo with top note perfumes of Satsuma Plum, Pear Nectar, Quince, Apple and Persimmon, lingering mid notes of Lemon Blossoms, Star Jasmine and Allspice which are layered upon a base of Mahogany, Vanilla Orchid and Egyptian Musk.
My experience: There’s nothing better than a Sunday evening bath and this duo has made that experience even more enjoyable...if that was possible! The delicious scents of Persimmon and Quince combined makes you feel incredibly relaxed and leaves a lingering scent on the skin long after use. I would give this set as a gift without hesitation, so if you’re looking for an easter egg alternative, this duo is just the ticket!
Designer Brands Blush Up Complexion Palette – Zoë
What it is: a blush palette available in two shades.
My experience: I’m a diehard bronzer fan, with a traditional aversion to blush; but now – after using these two palettes – I’m a blush convert. Each palette comes with three perfectly blendable shades, made up of vitamin E enriched formulas that just melt into the skin. My favourite of the two is the Peaches & Cream palette featuring soft coral shade, nude rose and vibrant tangerine colour. It was the perfect addition to my routine, helping me carry on the appearance of a healthy summer glow. Plus, each palette includes an integrated mirror to get up close with your application and for touch-ups.
jane iredale Brush Collection – Limited Edition Blush & Bronzer Brush Kit – Grace
What it is: a limited-edition brush kit featuring four brushes
My experience: I love the idea of a blush and bronzer brush kit as these two steps are staples in my makeup routine. I started off with the Contour Brush and did a sharp contour under my cheekbones, under my chin and on my nose. I then went in with the Dome Brush and bronzed my cheeks and forehead. I used the angled blending/contour brush to apply some blush to my cheeks and the White Fan Brush was perfect to finish it all off with a highlight. These brushes are such high quality, they are so soft and blend my makeup so easily!
Remington Pearl Shine Hair Dryer – Tash
What it is: A powerful 2000W Hair Dryer featuring Tourmaline Ceramic Technology which provides a natural source of ions to reduce frizz and create a smooth and shiny finish.
My experience: My hair is long overdue for a colour and cut, making it hard to style and look presentable. Enter Remington Pearl Shine Hair Dryer - this tool really revived my hair, reducing frizz and creating a sleek glossy blow out for my fine locks..which has helped me stretch out that hair appointment even further by hiding my colour with the shine. Love it!
Sukin Purely Ageless Hydration Elixir – Laura
What it is: A natural elixir that uses crumb oil, vitamins A and E and paracress extract to hydrate tired skin.
My experience: I love love love this elixir! I applied it to my clean, damp face and massaged in. I only needed a couple of drops as a little goes a long way. Even after a few days I could tell that my skin looked more supple and fresh. I can definitely see myself using this more and more especially heading into winter when I need an extra hit of hydration.
Natio Love Being You Colour Collection - Natural Nudes – Steph
What it is: an eyeshadow palette with six wearable mineral eyeshadows.
My experience: I have been loving mineral makeup recently, and this palette is the perfect one-stop-shop for warm eye looks. From earthy brown to nude, taupe and pretty peach, I used the mix of matte and glistening shades to add definition to a nighttime look, and brighten the eyes during the day. The best part? The palette includes two applicators to easily create natural makeup looks.
Lancôme Absolue Precious Cells – Rose Drop – Tiarne
What it is: A concentrated face peel for evening use that helps skin feel soft and clean with a refined, healthy and glowing texture.
My experience: I’ve been using this product every night for the past few weeks, and I’ve noticed quite a difference. The first night I used it I was suffering from a bit of acne, and had a lot of angry blind pimples. When I woke up the next morning, I noticed a few of those pimples had become smaller and my face looked much better. I’ve also since discovered that recent acne scarring has reduced in redness, and my skin feels smoother and softer. Although I’m still getting some acne flare ups, I don’t think it has anything to do with the Absolue Precious Cells. I will keep using this product, and am super hopeful to see even more progress!
