What’s landed on our desks: September favourites

The products that have won over the BD team this month.

Ulta3 Hello Brows 2-in-1 Stylus – Caitlin
What it is: A 2-in-1 brow product with a wind-up pencil on one end and a clear gel on the other.
My experience: This is the ultimate brow product. The pencil features a triangular tip which makes it very easy to create hair-like strokes for softly shaped brows, and the clear gel set them in place.

Paula’s Choice Resist Moisture Renewal Oil Booster – Tash
What it is: A facial oil to boost the restorative results of your serum and moisturiser.
My experience: This blend of nine plant-based oils is a wonder product! With the increasingly dry weather in Sydney I was curious to see if this oil booster was the answer to my dehydrated skin woes. It hydrated my skin where my serum and moisturiser was struggling and reduced redness I was experiencing from the dry winter air and office heating. A little goes a long way with this product and it definitely packs a (much needed) punch!

Milky Foot Milky Foot Active – Zoe
What it is: An at-home pedicure treatment which combats foot odour and removes hardened, dead skin through its intense peeling action after just one application.
My experience: I was very excited to try this product as I walk to and from work everyday, and the trek has really started to take its toll on my feet! The application was simple (just slip on the booties) and then after an hour you can remove them, rinse your feet and await the great (albeit gross) results! My feet are now baby soft and I’ll definitely be using Milky Foot again.

Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Treatment Mask – Julia
What it is: A hair mask treatment that works to repair damaged hair.
My experience: After a few uses this mask is already delivering results! After shampooing my hair I apply it from the mid lengths to the ends and leave it in for about five minutes before rinsing. Even after the first use I noticed my hair was soft, silky and smelt so good all day! Since my hair has continued to feel and look so healthy and more manageable. I’m looking forward to seeing continued results would recommend to anyone looking for an easy fix for damaged hair.

Revitanail Conditioning Remover Wipes – Ellie
What it is: These 30 acetone-free, vitamin E-enriched wipes remove polish while also nourishing nails and cuticles.
My experience: I don’t know how I ever lived without these wipes. All you have to do is slide the wipe from cuticle to nail tip and the majority of polish disappears! Each wipe is so packed full of moisture that it took one to remove five nails’ worth of polish. This is the perfect time-saving product for anyone still struggling with cotton wool balls and acetone!

Cuccio Naturalé Nail File Kit – Vanessa
What it is: A stainless steel nail file kit.
My experience: I’ve just recently started to grow out my nails after nearly 10 years of acrylics, so I have been getting use to the fact that I need to give my nails some extra TLC, which includes filing and framing my nails every so often. This kit makes it easy to buff and shape my nails and the customisable strips mean you can achieve any result from the one file which is such a timesaver!

MUD Eyeshadow Palette – Nadine
What it is: An eyeshadow palette containing four shades that can be worn alone or together to create a variety of looks.
My experience: For such an affordable eyeshadow palette I was so surprised with how great the shades were. The nude shadows are actually quite pigmented and work beautifully when used all together or also individually as a base before layering other shades. These shadows are nicely pigmented which help make your eyes pop! Plus the small size makes this a great palette to throw in your bag for work or touch up’s on the go.

Veet High Precision Facial Wax & Care – Sam
What it is: This warm wax system features a pen-shaped applicator that teams an almond oil infused wax with a soothing after care cream on the other end.
My experience: This product is a god send for easy at-home facial waxing! The wax end of the two sided applicator can be heated and the precision applicator makes it easy to apply to my brows. The aftercare cream is infused with aloe vera, reducing redness and calming my skin post-wax. I’d highly recommend as an inexpensive and multi-purpose at-home facial waxing kit.

Qsillica Naturally CLEAR Skin Support Tablets – Issy
What it is: Ingestible supplements that assist in treating mild acne and promoting healthy, clear skin.
My experience: Taken daily, these tablets contain the necessary supplements like zinc, herbal extracts and silica to support acne-prone skin and assist with a healthy complexion. My skin overall looks brighter, more even and those pesky imperfections have been kept at bay.

Saya Skincare Coffee Body Scrub – Steph
What it is: A body scrub packed with coffee, shea butter, cane sugar and coconut oil.
My experience: This naturally-derived body scrub manages to do the unthinkable. It is gritty and powerful enough to really slough away all dead skin and rough patches while equally leaving my limbs feeling so hydrated and nourished. The added shea butter and coconut oil are great hydrators, making this a great weekly dual-purpose body treatment to keep skin in check coming into the warmer months.
