Coined by London cosmetic doctor Dr Esho, “Robot Botox” is the new way of administering botulinum toxin that’s on every injectable enthusiast’s wish list.
Why? Because it follows the current trend for natural-looking injectables and reportedly provides a “revolutionary” new way of achieving the look. Following Dr Esho’s “less is more” approach, Botox is injected using a tool called the Juvapen instead of the standard issue needle.
Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar UK, Dr Esho referenced a study conducted by University of Geneva PhD, Dr Bou Saab, in 2016, which indicated a significant difference between manual and Juvapen injection accuracy. "This is particularly important when injecting areas around the eye," Dr Esho noted.
Dr Esho also highlighted other benefits to the practice of Robot Botox, including reduced pain and bruising, and a lesser recovery time thanks to the smaller needle attached to the Juvapen.
