Beauty website, Beauticate, is celebrating its fifth birthday this year with a site relaunch, as well as the introduction of an exciting new initiative – Beauticate's Top 100 – an expertly curated list of all the products beauty fans should try.
The website, which provides beauty product news, reviews and insights into the products used by experts, now has a fresh new look with a cleaner design. It also has larger images, simplified navigation – and it will soon feature shopping functions to enable readers to purchase products as they read about them.
According to Beauticate founder and editor, Sigourney Cantelo, a recent Beauticate reader survey underlined readers’ interest in shopping online.
“Our survey found that 86 per cent of our readers spend more than $50 a month on beauty products, and 40 per cent shop for beauty products solely online. Tellingly, 85 per cent of our readers said they would buy from Beauticate if we provided a shopping option.”
Meanwhile, the top 100 products reflect reader demand for more information on the best beauty products in the market.
“We receive a huge number of emails and questions about products via our social platforms, often from readers who are at the point of purchase and want to know what we recommend, so we think our Top 100 will be very popular,” Cantelo said, adding that it will be filled with practical tips and tricks – as well as being highly shoppable.
The list was independently selected by the Beauticate team, following the research of products in high demand globally. The team also analysed five years of Beauticate WHO profile interviews with top beauty experts and reviewed key brands’ best seller lists.
The Top 100 will comprise of 10 categories to be rolled out over the coming months, with the first category – Beauty Icons – successfully launching last week.
