Iconic Australian self tan brand Bondi Sands is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month, stopping at no lengths to celebrate the major milestone.
Established in 2012 and soon after becoming a force in the Australian market, Bondi Sands has grown to the number one self tan brand globally, now diversified into suncare and skincare categories with one product sold every three seconds worldwide.
When asked about the milestone, brand co-founder Blair James, said: “We’ve come a long way in 10 years, from four products on shelf in Priceline in 2012 to the number one self tanning brand in the world, stocked in over 43,000 stores globally. Our success in the suncare and skincare categories is also a true testament to our brand values, most notably innovation, accessibility and community.
It’s an incredible time for us as a brand, and we’ll be celebrating all of the moments that have defined Bondi Sands along the way. Our Ibiza product launch in 2017 – the first influencer trip of its kind from an Australian brand, ‘Aeroland’ at Coachella in 2019 and most recently becoming an official partner of the Australian Open on our home turf are all highlights.”
The brand has become a household favourite in beauty routines across the world, both amongst its strong community of ‘Bondi Babes’ and celebrities alike. Kylie Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, James Charles, Steph Claire Smith, Pia Muehlenbeck and Shani Grimmond have endorsed the efficacy of the products and have contributed to the global growth and success of the brand.
To celebrate the brand milestone and give back to its loyal community, Bondi Sands is releasing a limited edition version of its number one self tanning product, the Dark Self Tanning Foam. Available in major retailers from October, the bottle contains a ‘scratch and win’ component whereby customers can win prizes varied from luxury items, vouchers, product and discount codes.
Additionally, any purchase of a Bondi Sands product between October 1 and November 30 will be in the running for a $10,000 cash prize.
In further exciting news, Bondi Sands’ Everyday Skincare range is also now even more accessible, landing on shelves at Coles supermarkets across Australia this week. Coles customers can now find the affordable range in the beauty aisle whilst doing their grocery shop, including the viral Eye Spy Vitamin C and Caffeine eye cream that has become a viral TikTok sensation.
Nothing in the range is over $23, whilst all products are made in Australia with natural ingredients, and packed in fully recyclable materials.
