Private equity company, San Francisco Equity Partners (SFEP), has acquired a majority stake in popular cosmetics brand, jane iredale.
Since its launch 25 years ago, jane iredale has focused on formulating cosmetics with natural ingredients that purposely benefit the skin. Today, its products are stocked across three continents in 37 different countries.
Although terms of the deal were not disclosed, the new partnership will work to expand and strengthen the brand’s outlets.
“To take the company to the next level, I knew we needed a partner with a proven track record in beauty who would be a good steward to our brand and company,” founder, Jane Iredale, said. “Based on their experience working with leading authentic natural brands, SFEP is the ideal partner to guide us through the next phase.”

SFEP already partners with a handful of beauty brands, including colour cosmetics company, Japonesque and skincare brand, Yes To.
