The latest beauty collab causing buzz on the internet sees makeup giant Maybelline New York teaming up with sneaker brand, Puma.
The range is set to launch globally in 35 countries on February 8, and being Puma’s first multi-item beauty collection, it’s fitting that the five limited-edition products were inspired by streetwear trends.
The range will include three new products for Maybelline New York including, Smudge-Proof Mascara, Matte + Metallic Duo Eye Stick and Color + Gloss Duo Face Stick, and also see new shades of two existing products enter the market, SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick and Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter.
“Both of us are going after the younger consumer - what we call the ‘hustle generation.’ They’re running around doing different things, working by day and DJing by night,” said Maybelline New York senior vice president of marketing, Amy Whang. “We wanted to provide product that would keep up with them.”
Maybelline teased the collaboration this week on its Instagram account. Supermodel Adriana Lima, who is a brand ambassador for both Maybelline New York and Puma, is shown in the campaign imagery and videos, wearing both the makeup and Puma sneakers and sportswear.
