Model on the rise joins L’Oréal’s ranks

L’Oréal has just announced its latest spokesperson - Brazilian-born Luma Grothe.

Scouted at 16 in her native Sao Paulo, the model has a combination of German, Japanese and African genes to thank for her striking looks, which have seen her grace the catwalks of Milan, London and New York.

L’Oréal Paris Brand Global President Cyril Chapuy says Grothe’s exotic features really appeal to modern audiences.

“Fast-tracked to the fashion scene, Luma’s magnetic charisma combined with her dazzling deep emerald eyes made her the trendiest up-and-coming model. She is the poster girl of a modern and multicultural vision of beauty and we are so pleased to welcome her to the L’Oréal Paris family.”

Grothe is excited about the partnership, saying: “I am very proud to represent such an inspirational brand. To me, ‘Because you’re worth it’ is even more than a legendary slogan I grew up with, it’s a motto that continues to resonate in my generation. It’s a timeless and current statement! For generations, L’Oréal Paris has always been promoting beauty in all its diversity, and showing women that self-confidence is the key of wellbeing.”

The model will be in fabulous company in her new role, joining the likes of Karlie Kloss, Barbara Palvin, Lara Stone, Natasha Poly, Bianca Balti, Liya Kebede and Doutzen Kroes in L’Oréal Paris’ team.
