The importance of products being animal-friendly and vegan is front of mind for the 2020 beauty consumer, with Pinterest reporting that searches for 'vegan lipstick' have increased by a huge 150 per cent from December 2018 to 2019.
Ethical and eco-conscious buying habits are on an upward trajectory, with shoppers being more aware of the impact of their spending habits than ever before. This is also seen through the Pinterest stats of searches for ‘vegan lifestyle’ and ‘vegan fashion’ jumping up 35 per cent and 70 per cent.
As consumers continue demonstrating an interest in living a more ethical lifestyle (a record number of more than 250,000 people signed up to take part in Veganuary for 2020), brands are meeting that demand with an array of vegan, high-quality products.
