RealSelf Trends — a website dedicated to sharing statistics and patterns in cosmetic surgery, dermatology, dentistry, and other elective treatments — has released information on the top five pre-wedding treatments that brides-to-be search for.
Botox is the most popular, with CoolSculpting, Invisalign, Juvederm and Restylane following (in that order).
Detroit plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn spoke with the site to explain that “Botox is always popular, but even more popular for the bride and mother-of-the-brides about a month or so before the wedding. They all want a flawless, wrinkle-free face.”
CoolSculpting and Invisalign come in both second and third respectively, proving that brides-to-be are investing in their wedding day appearance months before the big day. Invisalign is a virtually invisible method of straightening teeth using removable, see-through aligners that have been specifically crafted to fit your teeth. The process can take up to 18 months.
CoolSculpting is a non-surgical fat reduction treatment; and while it works, it can take six months to a year of treatments to see ‘wow’ results.
Finally, hyaluronic acid fillers Juvederm and Restylane, commonly used for everything from plumping lips to filling fine lines around the mouth, take the final fourth and fifth places.
