According to Pinterest, more and more consumers are steering away from products containing animal-derived ingredients. In a report released by the company, a 150 percent surge in searches for ‘vegan lipstick’ was seen from December 2018 to 2019.
Awareness of vanity animal testing has also grown significantly over the years, with consumers turning their backs on unethical retailers or, in some cases, changing their ways entirely. This has resulted in brands making more ethical and eco-conscious decisions when creating products and packaging.
