Lancôme has decided to recruit influencing powerhouse Chiara Ferragni as its latest muse.
The Italian-born lifestyle blogger will be joining the likes of Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts and Penelope Cruz, who have all played muse to the brand before her.
The new role will see Ferragni partner with Lancôme through social media projects which, for now, are being kept private. Ferragni has over 12 million followers on Instagram and was last year named Forbes’ Most Powerful Fashion Influencer 2017.
“I’m so excited with this unique collaboration with Lancôme,” said Ferragni.
““I have been a fan of the brand since I was a young girl in Cremona [Italy]. The perfume, Trésor, has been the scent of my teenage years.
“I respect and share the values and history of the brand. It’s beauty ideal is an invitation to happiness and self-realisation, and that it is also my mantra.”
She continued: “I am proud that Lancôme, through my venture and influence, has entrusted me with this role as muse.”
Lancôme International general manager Francoise Lehmann also expressed joy at having Ferragni on board, saying in a statement: “We are proud to collaborate with such an inspiring, smart, influential and radiant woman.
