This year has seen 9Honey undergo a slew of changes, including a host of new appointments. Now the site is welcoming two more new faces – with taking up the role of associate producer and Mel Cornford named a regular contributor.
Ayre was most recently beauty editor on Prevention and grooming editor on Men’s Health, while Cornford departed Yahoo7 earlier this year in pursuit of a freelance career.
Ayre will be in the 9Honey office on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, working alongside head of lifestyle at nine.com.au Helen McCabe, editor Damien Woolnough and senior beauty editor Kelly Baker. Ayre will also be blogging personally at www.beautyhunter.com.au.
Cornford will be producing both fashion and beauty content weekly, with her new role also seeing her assist in the curation of content for Nine digital’s commercial campaigns.
Cornford says of her latest endeavour: "I'll be filing a mix of celebrity, street style and runway inspired fashion and beauty features each week – including how-tos, the latest product round-ups, innovative beauty treatments and get-the-look shopping pieces."
