Beauty website closes after nine years in business

With a background in publishing following digital roles at New Woman, Shop Til You Drop, and Grazia, in December 2007 Kate McKibbin left it all to become the director and publisher at Drop Dead Gorgeous Daily. Now, McKibbin is closing the beauty website to focus on other projects.

Sharing on Instagram yesterday, McKibbin writes: "After nine awesome years, @ddgdaily is saying goodbye. We've had such a blast sharing our favourite recipes, DIYs, shoe obsessions, Drake lyrics, terrible jokes and beauty hacks with you all. Thank you all for following and commenting and making these last nine years unbelievably fun.

"Lots of very exciting new projects on the horizon for the DDG team (so watch this space), but in the meantime 'so long, and thanks for all the fish!'"

McKibbin will still hold her position as director at Secret Bloggers' Business – a free Facebook group where bloggers can go to help each other, get advice, share their posts and grow their blogs.
