body+soul makes its revamped debut

Fitness bible body+soul is in the midst of a revamp with its new look debuted on February 21. NewsLifeMedia’s health and lifestyle publisher Nick Smith made the announcement this morning, confirming the plan is to re-establish the fitness offering within the booming marketplace.

The changes will see the existing editorial team partner with well-known health gurus Michelle Bridges and Steve ‘The Commando’ Willis. A vibrant new design has also been crafted to draw in new readers, accompanied by a dedicated marketing campaign.

Smith inferred the new direction of the publication will focus on how to improve work-life balance, particularly regarding health. He comments: “Sundays are busier than ever before and the mindset of our readers is now a balance between enjoying the weekend before going back to the weekday routine and getting ready for the week ahead.”

As for just how the newspaper will do this? Smith explains: “We’ve evolved body+soul to meet these needs, ramping up the energy in the lift-out with our editorial delivering a more inclusive approach to allow more Australians to realise their health goals. You don’t have to be a scientist, you don’t have to be young and you don’t have to be on Instagram, you just have to make the decision to start living healthier with body+soul showing you how.”

body+soul hopes to inspire rather than intimidate, focusing on short-term improvements, with editor Fiona Baker commenting: “We understand that there’s no quick fix to living a healthier life. Each week, our readers can access the information and the inspiration that’s achievable and doable to take the steps to start living healthier today.”
