There have been speculations that Manzanita Capital, the owner of Space NK, is looking for a new owner.
According to The Evening Standard, sources believe Unilever is interested in the opportunity as it is said to be looking at moving to a more high-end beauty area. If the move goes ahead, it will be the first of its kind for the consumer goods giant, which owns brands such as Sure, Vaseline and Dove.
Known for its collection of prestige beauty brands, Space NK currently has a selection of Unilever-owned brands, including Living Proof and REN Skincare.
At the beginning of the year, it began stocking fragrance brand, Clean Reserve and made a deal with Jo Loves, the fragrance brand by Jo Malone.
Space NK currently operates in more than 60 stores in the UK, producing sales of £96.4million in the fiscal year to 25 March 2018.
