After departing Mamamia in December last year, the former editor-in-chief has joined NewsLifeMedia as the publishing company's new contributor across news.com.au and kidspot.com.au. The role will see Rizvi analyse weekly trending news stories.
“Jamila is one of the best in her field and we’re really excited to have her contributing to the news.com.au and Kidspot.com.au content offering. Her view of the world provides excellent commentary for the news.com.au audience, and as we continue to evolve the Kidspot.com.au brand with a fresh new content strategy, Jamila’s appointment is another step forward in speaking with new mums and driving the conversation and agenda for women across the country," says NewsLifeMedia chief digital officer Julian Delany.
“Being a new mum herself, Jamila understands what women are thinking and feeling at this life stage and what issues and topics are most important to them, and through her quality content I have no doubt she will further engage conversations with our audience. Jamila has a strong track record of delivering video and audio content and finding solutions for clients that connect with consumers, which is also a big focus for us at this time. We’re delighted to have attracted someone of her calibre to contribute to our sites and expand our offering.”
Rizvi adds: “It’s such a thrill to be joining NewsLifeMedia. I feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to write about the many diverse topics I’m passionate about – everything from politics to parenting. I look forward to driving debate and contributing a fresh voice to the public discussion with brands that reach such a massive audience each and every day.”
