Taking on the new role of digital coordinator at LifeStyle.com.au, journalist and beauty writer Kristy Johnson is now coordinating editorial content across the site as well as looking after the Try It, Rate It promotion and giveaway section.
To find out more about her new responsibilities, BD tracked Johnson down for a quick one-on-one.
What is involved in your new role?
Viewers of the LifeStyle Channels and readers of LifeStyle.com.au will be able to register their interest to trial a range of products under the lifestyle umbrella, whether it be beauty-, home- or health-related, and provide their review. My role in ‘Try It, Rate It’ is to coordinate the weekly and monthly promotions, which are updated on-air, online and in our newsletters.
How has your role changed?
As well as coordinating the weekly and monthly promotions, I will still be coordinating editorial content across LifeStyle.com.au, under the categories of LifeStyle HOME, LifeStyle FOOD, LifeStyle YOU and LifeStyle.
Will you still be looking after the beauty at Lifestyle?
Definitely. I look forward to assisting with beauty editorial for LifeStyle YOU.
Are you responsible for writing the beauty articles?
We have a resident beauty expert who provides regular editorial content, however, we welcome additional beauty content. I still do contribute beauty and fashion features for the website.
What does a typical day for you at LifeStyle look like?
The beauty of this job is that it varies on a daily basis. It’s a dynamic and friendly work environment. One minute I might be coordinating editorial content, the next conducting an interview, and then sourcing products for a promotion.
