In a new move demonstrating Bauer Media's willingness to step up its digital presence, the publisher has signed up 34 of its magazines to digital publishing powerhouse Magzter. Magzter will offer subscriptions to the titles at 60 per cent cheaper than their print prices.
Bauer is the latest in a string of global publishing houses (including Hearst and Conde Nast) to partner with Magzter. iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch readers can now access Australian titles such as Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, DOLLY, The Australian Women’s Weekly, ELLE, NW, OK! and Woman’s Day via Magzter.
“The first digital magazine from Bauer Media on Magzter was Cosmopolitan Australia and it received great responses from readers everywhere,” says Magzter CEO Girish Ramdas. “Within a few months, as promised Bauer has brought 34 of its top entire list of publications to Magzter's newsstand.”
Magzter president Vijay Radhakrishnan adds: “[Magzter] has once again proved that this is the way forward and is the perfect way to give diverse readable content the exposure and awareness it deserves. The Bauer Media magazine brands are the market leaders in online advertising as well; a feature that will drive more readers to access it."
