MOR acquired by major Asian company

It’s one of the largest beauty R&D companies in Asia, and now Uniasia Group has announced another addition to its portfolio with the purchase of Australian bath, body and lifestyle brand MOR . The acquisition will see Uniasia Group reposition MOR to a premium level in the luxury bath, body and skincare categories globally.

Trading under the name MOR Boutique, the brand is expected to undergo major growth, including the establishment of concept stores nationally. This will be kicked off with the first flagship store launching in Melbourne CBD within the year.

Other growth areas will see MOR Boutique acquire and launch new brands to the Australian and global market over time, with the first taking place in early 2017. The production of all body and skin care formulations will continue to be made in Australia and the Australian head office and team structure will remain the same. Managing director Jeff Nadelman has now taken on the role of CEO.

“This exciting opportunity will take the MOR brand to the world, but keep its fundamentals of being an Australian-made brand alive. The Uniasia group will look to invest in Australia through new product development but also in local manufacturing,” says Nadelman.

“The Group sees the value in Australian-made products and the value it holds to the export market. My new role will be CEO and I look forward to being part of this exciting journey; to see MOR have its own retail presence in Australia, expand the brand through the major retailers, and keep the brand at a high quality with all body and skin care formulations made in Australia.”

Presently, Uniasia Group owns five brands: Meifubao, Franic, YOUYA, Seeyoung, and now MOR.
