NewsLifeMedia CEO Nicole Sheffield has made the leap over to News Corp, where she will head up the company’s new business arm News Digital Networks Australia (News DNA).
The latest announcement comes amid a slew of changes for senior management at the company, including the departure of COO Robin Parkes and CCO Sharb Farjami. According to AdNews, NewsLifeMedia will not seek a replacement for the CEO position.
News Corp executive chairman Michael Miller explains that the new business hopes to bridge the communication between the publisher’s commercial partners and its audience groups. Sheffield’s new job will see her implementing a company-wide commercial digital strategy for the new business, building what is described in an official statement as an “aligned, network focus”.
Miller explains of Sheffield’s role: “With the continued rapid evolution of information technology and new ways of meeting consumer needs, News needs to have a senior executive with oversight of our digital commercial strategy.”
