NZ: Fashion Quarterly announces new editor

Following news late last year that Fashion Quarterly editor Fiona Hawtin was stepping down from the position, Bauer Media has revealed Sally-Ann Mullin will take over the role.

Promoted to the position after three years as Fashion Quarterly’s fashion editor, Mullin will begin officially start as editor from the autumn issue. She brings more than 10 years’ experience in fashion, beauty and editorial to the role.

“Sally-Ann’s appointment is a terrific result for brand FQ as it moves into an exciting stage of evolution across its many consumer touch points. Sally-Ann lives and breathes fashion and beauty, and our advertising partners will be thrilled at this appointment,” says publisher Brendon Hill.

Mullin adds: “It is such an honour to lead this iconic brand. Fashion is about emotion and the new-look team at Fashion Quarterly will leverage our passion for the industry and deep audience connection with a fresh perspective. We look forward to delivering innovative and creative solutions for our advertising clients and continuing the success of the FQ brand well into the future.”

Former Cleo editor and features editor at FQ, Megan Bedford, has been appointed deputy editor of Fashion Quarterly.
