US health and wellness media giant, Rodale, has put itself up for sale following the announcement they were considering “strategic alternatives” for the company.
While an asking price wasn’t listed, if Rodale doesn’t receive a suitable bid the company is prepared to continue on the path of their long-term business plan. This includes aggressive cost-cutting measures, closing Running Times, taking Prevention ad-free and raising the newsstand price, closing its Grow custom content studio, and number of layoffs.
Rodale publishes the likes of Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Prevention and Runner’s World, among other titles.
