Cosmetic heavyweight L’Oréal has been named by Fast Company as one of the top 50 most innovative companies in the world.
The ranking is produced annually and celebrates companies that exemplify the best in business and innovative practices.
On the accolade, L’Oréal president and CEO Frederic Roze told PR Newswire: “A strong spirit of innovation has been the driving force of L’Oréal’s business success for more than 100 years. We are proud of this achievement as we have worked to rapidly evolve with today’s digitally connected consumer and explore new frontiers of technology.”
Last year saw L'Oréal's Beauty Incubator, dedicated entirely to technological innovation, unveil its first project, Makeup Genius. Winning top beauty and technology awards and honours, Makeup Genius is a virtual reality make-up experience that is the first of its kind.
“L’Oréal is committed to offering beauty for all through the development of cutting-edge technologies, cross-industry partnerships that complement our scientific expertise and new experiences that add value to our consumers,” explains Connected Beauty Incubator global vice president Guive Balooch.
And as for the future?
“[Our vision] is to transform the traditional notion of what a beauty company can be.”
