The Lilianne Bettencourt saga continues with news her lawyer Jean-René Farthouat has asked a judge in the appeals court to make her grandson Jean-Victor Meyers provisionally the sole guardian of her person and holdings.
In mid-October, the L'Oréal heiress was put under Jean-Victor’s guardianship; however, her holdings were put under the protection of Meyers, her daughter Francoise Bettencourt Meyers and her other grandson Nicolas Meyers.
The judge will make a decision on the guardianship if the family has not reconciled by November 18.
Lilianne’s lawyers had already appealed to the previous guardianship and holdings decision by a judge in Courbevoi, France.
Judges in Bordeaux, France, are set to decide whether a medical exam of Lilianne be annulled on November 10. This was requested by her defense.
