Is there any pie the Kardashians won’t stick a finger in? Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian are on the beauty scene once again, with news the sisters will create their own colour collection, Khroma Beauty, for US beauty chain Ulta.
It’s no surprise, really, that the three K’s are moving into cosmetics. Having proved their retail worth in handbags, Kardashian’s blossoming beauty empire and already, it was only a matter of time before they moved into cosmetics. According to WWD, industry sources are predicting Khorma Beauty could generate between $45 million and $50 million in its first year in retail.
According to Robin Coe-Hutshing, creative director of Khorma Beauty, the range will speak to women of various cultures and ethnicities. [The sisters] wanted to share their access to luxury formulas with their fans and our goal was to provide a prestige product range at very accessible prices,” Coe-Hutshing says.
While I’ve never really found entertainment or aspiration from the Kardashian family in the same way others around the globe have, I have no doubt these sales estimates are accurate. However I do have a hard time getting my head around a prestige product range” when it uses product names such as Kardazzle Compacts and Kurve Compact Dual Finishing Powder.
