British slashie Cara Delevingne is no stranger to the beauty world, having been the face of YSL Beauté for some time. Now the 23-year-old has been snapped up by a fellow beauty giant, named as the latest brand ambassador for Rimmel London.
The brand is renowned for its penchant for iconic British ambassadors, with Delevingne following in the footsteps of fellow Britons Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger. Delevingne comments: “I’m honoured to be working with Rimmel London. It’s the first make-up brand I was introduced to as a teenager. I’m a London girl through and through and Rimmel London truly captures and represents the city’s edgy, cosmopolitan beauty styles.”
Vice president of global marketing at Rimmel London Montse Passolas adds: “Cara Delevingne’s striking look and unique sense of style mean she’s the personification of Rimmel cool. With her prodigious talents and fearless spirit, she’s a true inspiration to young women everywhere. Cara also has a huge online presence and social media following, through which Rimmel can reach out and talk to our core consumers. She is an iconic British ambassador and a fantastic partner for the brand.”
The partnership will see Delevingne star in a handful of advertising campaigns for the brand and utilise the model’s growing reach on social media. In an innovative first, a Global Snapchat Press Conference will be held, giving fans of the brand and model alike the chance to interact. Questions will be posed to Cara via the #RimmelxCara hashtag, where she will choose her favourites and answer them live on the communication platform.
