She’s renowned for her retro glamour, and now, Dita Von Teese has published her beauty secrets for fans, with the release of her guide Your Beauty Mark.
The mantra of the book is, just like Von Teese, a little left of centre. She explained to Style.com that her book’s intention is to explore the power of glamour rather than denote what we should and shouldn’t do in our personal routines.
“There are so many beauty books on the market that tell you how to do natural, pretty make-up - very tasteful make-up - and I never really could relate to that,” says Von Teese.
“I think this is a book for people who dare to be different, who aren’t necessarily trying to fit in, and that like to embrace glamour. My book is for people who enjoy breaking the beauty rules and changing them, and not being ashamed to say that they like something the way that they like it.”
