Models sauntering the catwalks at New York Fashion Week wasn’t the only business of the day, with the event also playing host to a range of fragrance deal discussions.
The Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. confirmed it has signed a fragrance license with Marni, while there is also speculation that Tory Burch may sign a deal with the company despite rumours she is in talks with Coty, according to WWD.
Discussion on the possible Burch-Lauder deal gained momentum with Estée Lauder Cos. CEO and president Fabrizio Freda and Aerin LLAC creative director and chairman Aerin Lauder both attending the designer’s runway show.
But it wasn’t just designer houses that were brokering fragrance deals. There were also rumours that Madonna is in talks with Coty about a major fragrance deal. It is believed that Madonna would introduce a scent using her own name under the agreement.
