According to TMZ, Kanye West has filed paperwork in the first steps towards establishing a beauty brand.
The rapper moved to trademark the name ‘Donda’, a tribute to his late mother who died in 2007, and a search of the name on Trademarkia reveals that ‘Donda’ has been reserved for jewellery, handbags, retail stores and even nutrition blogs.
However, out of the list of potential enterprises the only trademark that has been flagged as ‘Publication/Issue review complete’ is the cosmetics line.
This seems to indicate that a potential beauty empire for the Yeezy designer is definitely in the pipeline.
Not much else is known about the venture at this point, except that it will include fragrance, lotions and makeup for both men and women.
