James Corden makes beauty debut
SK-II has bought on an unlikely face for its new campaign in the form of comedian and Late Late Show host, James Corden.
Alongside SK-II ambassador Chloe Grace Moretz, Corden will star in a new tongue-in-cheek YouTube campaign promoting the brand's Pitera Essence.
The web series, Bare Skin Chat, turns the traditional beauty ad on its head and will be used to target US consumers, according to Cosmetics Business. Moretz and other celebrities including Naomi Watanabe, one of Japan's most popular comedians; and Kasumi Arimura, a Japanese actress, are seen in particularly non-galmarous but humerous situations, such as tap dancing and taking a facial bubble bath.
Moretz said of the series: "I laughed so much on the Bare Skin Chat set and I feel the audience is going to have a ball with this.”
“Sometimes you want to take skin care less seriously, it shouldn't be so complicated you know.”
