Fresh from her second year walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with her natural hair, Angola-born model Maria Borges has just been named the spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris.
Her contract comes after the French cosmetics house revealed a move to partner with underrepresented faces in the industry, and promote diversity.
Borges joins the likes of trans model Hari Nef, Chinese model Xiao Wen Ju and curve model Sabina Karlsson.
In a press release, Borges commented: “I believe in the beauty of diversity and the empowering message that a girl who started from the bottom can be an international beauty symbol and be living proof that our dreams are valid, and the future ahead of us is bright.”
