Fresh from creating Kate Hudson's soft blow-dry at the Golden Globes, celebrity hairstylist David Babaii has moved his attention to Aussie screen darling Nicole Kidman.
For yesterday's Screen Actors Guild Awards, Babaii highlighted Kidman's new solid bob haircut with a sleek, super-straight style.
To get the look, Babaii first applied the David Babaii Instant Straight Smoothing Balm before blow-drying in sections. In order to achieve flawless straight hair, control is a must,” says Babaii.
After creating poker straight locks with an iron, he then misted Miracle Elixir Hair Oil over the entire hair to give it a healthy shine. The trick is to spray from arm's length to ensure even, light coverage.” To finish the look, he used Finished Styling Spray to smooth any flyaways.
It wasn't just the SAG Awards that saw Kidman get the star treatment from Babaii, as he also tended to her locks for the Producer's Guild Awards on Saturday night.
Creating a flirty half up/half down style, Babaii achieved this look by first blow-drying Kidman's hair with a mixture of Whipped Volume Styling Mousse and Boho Beach Spray. These products give the hair a medium touchable hold with no build-up, plus added shine,” says Babaii.
After creating a dramatic side part for the fringe by sweeping the hair to one side, Babaii lightly back-combed at the crown and then gently smoothed, drawing the sides and top into a sexy pouf at the back.
Style definition was then added to the soft curls at the back and neck using Polished Crème Serum, finishing off with a light mist of Finished Styling Spray.
