A trend is emerging with celebrities launching their own YouTube channels (yesterday, BD reported supermodel Naomi Campbell has joined the platform), and now the next 'vlogging' A-lister is none other than Victoria Beckham. Yes, that’s right, you can now subscribe to Posh Spice!
In an announcement made on Instagram, Beckham posted a short video of herself being interviewed by YouTube director of fashion and beauty, Derek Blasberg, on the 10th anniversary of her fashion label.
“I feel that this is a new chapter,” Beckham said.
“Coming back to London, celebrating the birthday, new CEO, new investment, I feel that now I can put my foot on the gas and do everything I’ve wanted to do for a long time.”
Beckham said the channel, which will focus on beauty and fashion, is an opportunity to connect with her fans.
“Will be full of makeup tutorials, styling tutorials, lots of stuff from me…I am really excited to be able to reach out to my customer, get to know him and her better and there will lots of fun and exciting stuff.”
Beckham’s existing YouTube channel, which was launched six years ago and has only been posted to sporadically, has now leapt to nearly 30,000 subscribers since her announcement video.
