True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård has signed on to be the face of ’s new fragrance for men, Encounter Calvin Klein. In the actor’s first endorsement deal, Skarsgård will star in ad campaigns alongside Lara Stone, the face of the brand’s Euphoria women’s scent.
Their idea for their concept was very intriguing to me – it was almost like a short film, and very film noir. It felt very interesting to me,” Skarsgård told WWD. I wanted to be involved with something where you tell a story – even though it’s a short story.”
Encounter Calvin Klein has top notes of mandarin, cardamom and rum, a heart of pepper, Egyptian jasmne, patchouli and cognac, and a drydown of agarwood, atlas cedarwood and musk. The fragrance is to be launched in the UK in late August, with a global rollout expected in September.
