By now, tech lovers are excited about throwing their present timepieces away in order to adorn their wrists with the latest offering from Apple - the Apple Watch.
As Apple explains on its webpage: “Our goal has always been to make powerful technology more accessible. More relevant. And ultimately, more personal. Apple Watch represents a new chapter in the relationship people have with technology. It’s the most personal product we’ve ever made, because it’s the first one designed to be worn.”
As has come to be expected for all of Apple’s gadgets, the latest device is not only impressive in terms of features, but it allows for plenty of personalisation. The watch enables users to keep time within 50 milliseconds of a definitive global time standard, and to customise the watch face so it presents time according to the individual’s schedule.
This is in addition to being able to read emails, summon Siri, track fitness, and receive calls, WeChat and Twitter updates straight from the user’s wrist.
The price tag ranges from $350 for the entry level sport model, and right up to $24,000 for the 18-carat gold edition.
Apple Watch will be on shelves worldwide from April 24, 2015, with pre-orders available from April 10.
