Gary Pepper Girl becomes digital consultant

In a move that showcases the growing influence of the Insta-famous, Qantas has employed Gary Pepper Girl’s Nicole Warne as digital consultant.

The leading airline will utilise Warne’s online notoriety and her skills in the online domain to revamp the corporation’s digital offering, as well as appeal to the younger generation. It’s expected that Warne’s first task in the role will see the 26-year-old direct a series of international destination video guides for in-flight entertainment.

Qantas marketer Olivia Wirth is eager to welcome the beloved blogger to the company: “We are really pleased to be working with one of Australia’s most influential online personalities. Nicole’s creativity, sharp focus on high-quality content and huge online following will help us showcase our international network to a new online audience.

“Working with Nicole gives us a platform to not only create content highlighting new products, destinations and services but it also provides us with the opportunity to promote one of Australia’s most talented digital consultants.”

Warne is now a digital veteran - with a growing blog fan base, 1.4 million Instagram followers and 30,000 on Twitter, as well as the accolade of being the first blogger to appear on the cover of a major Australian fashion magazine for July’s Elle Australia.

For Warne, the collaboration fulfils her passion for travel: “Documenting my global journey is something I do every day, so I’m thrilled to be working with our national carrier. I can’t wait to bring to life the sights and sounds of these amazing cities and inspire people to achieve their travel dreams.”
