Social media sensation Sara Donaldson is harnessing her blogging powers for good, jumping aboard the Kiss Goodbye to MS campaign. The Harper & Harley fashion blogger and starlet of reality show Fashion Bloggers TV has been proudly promoting the charitable initiative, which aims to raise money to find a cure for multiple sclerosis.
Donaldson’s support stems from a personal connection to the debilitating disease. She says: “Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that has touched my family, with my mum being diagnosed over 11 years ago. I’ve been fortunate enough to have built a public profile over the course of starting my blog and nothing makes me happier than being able to use it to create awareness and generate support for a charity that could change the lives of the 2 million people diagnosed with the disease, three out of four of these being women.”
The month-long campaign encourages supporters to swipe on a red-hued lipstick during the month of May and share images on Instagram with the #kissgoodbyetoms hashtag.
Donaldson has certainly played her part in raising awareness, posting a red lipstick pic each day for her 286,000 Instagram followers, as well as on her blog.
Along with boosting awareness, the campaign also aims to raise funds for research, with Donaldson’s financial goal currently sitting at $20,000. Those who wish to donate before the campaign finishes at the end of the month can do so online.
