Independent youth publisher, Junkee Media has unveiled its rebrand, along with a new website and visual identity.
'Junkee 2.0' is described as a new vision that embraces a social-first approach to enlighten, engage and inform its audience, as reported by Mumbrella.
The brand refresh brings a greater focus to Junkee’s key verticals, social justice, music and culture, which are explored across its social platforms, including the new website.
"You can expect us to continue giving young writers a platform to say their piece," said Junkee Media editor-in-chief, Alice Griffin.
"We’ll delve into the most curious corners of pop culture, sit across from politicians we don’t agree with and say things with our full chest."
"We’ll always honour the foundation built by the people before us, and Junkee 2.0 promises to be bolder, brattier and braver than we’ve ever been," said Griffin.
However, the relaunch hasn't been smooth sailing, as the refresh has effectively wiped the history of the site from the internet, with past articles now met with 404 pages.
A spokesperson has told Mumbrella the "glitches we’re seeing are temporary, but we’ll keep replying in the comments so everyone is across the updates."
