Marc Jacobs Beauty is finding its next beauty ambassadors via very modern means – that is, social media. The American brand has reignited its Cast Me Marc public casting call to discover the new faces of the label’s beauty line, who will be beauty vloggers.
The Cast Me Marc concept has traditionally been used to find the latest face of its fashion campaigns – this is the first time it will be used for the brand’s beauty offering. Marc Jacobs is asking international fans to post an Instagram video audition (tagging @MarcBeauty and #CastMeMarc), comprising of what inspires them in beauty and fashion and why they should be chosen as the brand’s next beauty vlogger.
The search’s 10 finalists will be flown to New York to record a makeup application video that will be judged by a panel, which includes the designer himself. The three finalists picked from the top 10 will then be used to form a social media campaign for the beauty brand, producing a #BeautyMarc video series.
