Say hello to MECCA Talks – the new podcast providing an all access pass to beauty, business and lifestyle experts. The move, which marks the beauty giant's first foray into the world of podcasts, is launching July 22, 2021.
Hosted by MECCA's chief marketing officer, Kate Blythe, and head of content, Zara Wong – the podcast goes beyond what you see in MECCA's 100+ stores, and swings open the doors to the global beauty industry and the brand's network of friends, founders and collaborators.
Season one is scheduled to have eight 45-minute episodes, which will run weekly, starting off with MECCA's founder and co-CEO, Jo Horgan.
"While the podcast is digital, MECCA at heart has unbelievable human connection thanks to our stores," said Blythe. "We're really leaning on the talent and at the authenticity of our store team members and platforming it in our podcast."
"And with our deep brand connections locally and internationally, we have been able to call on so many amazing beauty brand founders who speak to us about everything from starting their company, to how they came up with their product and of course, their own beauty tips gleaned from years of experience," Blythe added.
"We've interviewed some truly brilliant founders, and its always so fascinating hearing about their journeys first-hand."
MECCA Talks will be available to download on all podcast platforms including A Cast, Apple and Spotify.
But the brand isn't stopping there, with the business set to launch another digital initiative - the MECCA app.
Providing customers the key to unlock the very best in global beauty, no matter where they are, the app demonstrates MECCA's digital focus, using 360 storytelling to drive multi-channel customer growth.
The MECCA app is scheduled to launch this August - stay tuned!
